HENRIETTE BIRCH STRØM
STAND #36
Hendes arbejdsmetode strækker sig over tid.
Henriette Birch Strøm is a creative zealot who has her origins in the creative childhood home with immersion in porcelain painted ashtrays and decorated vases, to the large canvas with room for freedom and expressionist brushstrokes.
Her first memories of color contrasts, interplay, spatiality and mixed forms, her first source of inspiration, originate from the multi-coloured weaving pattern in the wall-to-wall carpet in the children's room.
The colors are her language and form of expression. She is inspired by and absorbed by the SPACES in and around her, outer space, inner space, spaces and room design. Her education as RUM designer from Denmark's Design School is clearly seen in her intuitive sense of compositions and flair for colorful dynamics in the works.
Her working method extends over time. She seeks clarity in daily Reiki meditation, and gives the colors their time. When they become clear to her, she goes straight to the white canvas and allows inner colors and images to be expressed intuitively.
A new process starts between outer and inner, layers and colors and images are being realized at the moment. The narrative emerges.
At some point she puts down her brushes and the next phase starts. Her outlines, lines and figures take their place in the work, and the story finds its end.
