Ulrik Bang works with color contrasts, which must create an energy in the picture. A journey in energy fields and universes, which hopefully makes the viewer interested in going deeper into the details of the image.

It is the work with the interplay and composition of the colors that is the basis for the structure of an image and for the final result. The image's expression is worked on through the painting process and thereby the design of the image can be different from what was intended - this means that each image gets a unique difference. The colors are energies and must form part of the picture's narrative. We work both with the completely abstract and with the abstract/figurative - depending on what creativity offers.
