Ksenija Vucinic is a self-taught artist who started painting at the age of 40.

When she paints, it is as a means of processing what she experiences in life - its intimidating beauty, its terrors and its ordinaryness.. Ksenija paint in an attempt to find comfort in the face of transience of everything and, above all in herself. The images that move her are the ones that evoke vulnerability and loneliness. Images that engage the observer instinctively into interpreting the psychological state portrayed by the figure which invariably remains out of reach, uninterpretable and ambiguous.
