JEPPE NØRAGER

The visual language is Jeppe Nørager's preferred form of expression. With ink, brush and color, he explores - just like in his childhood comics - foreign, surrealistic universes on the border of the dangerous. Lines and color surfaces become recognizable and yet foreign motifs in works filled with stories. The fascination with the landscape and city life is clearly visible, and Jeppe is also a trained architect with a background as an illustrator. He lives in his studio in Aarhus C on a daily basis.

Jeppe Nørager (born 1973) is a Danish artist, architect and illustrator based in Aarhus. Jeppe draws inspiration from architecture, comics and pop culture with a clear urban fascination. His paintings in oil pastels and acrylics typically contain solitary human figures or abstract landscape motifs. Jeppe Nørager also makes drawings, prints and book illustrations. In addition to his artistic work, Jeppe works in the consulting industry as a development consultant and graphic facilitator.
