Ingrid Ebbesen finds great joy and immersion in working with clay, and the sculptures are expressed with the help of humor and imagination as the work progresses.

Her sculptures are abstract, and the female sculptures have a slightly erotic teasing undertone that makes the viewer smile. They sparkle and radiate imagination and enjoyment of life – the joy of being human and the desire to be alive.

Ingrid has been on quite a few development courses, including modeling after live models and ceramic/raku courses for new inspiration. She experiments and develops some of her glazes herself and uses her own experiences. She works with stoneware clay, and her great interest is raku firing as the whole process in this type of firing is very exciting and unpredictable.
