FRANK GRIMM
STAND #50

Frank Grimm comes from a family of workers. His Dad worked on a shipyard building steel ships. His mom made handprinted black & white art prints.

After finding himself being with deep interests in photography and film, he start working for PPS in Hamburg, founded by F.C Gundlach. Working as a young assistent and taking care of professional equipment at PPS, he realized that just the independent work as a free artist is his way of creation.

His interest in people and their surroundings has shaped his photographic vision and influenced his interpretation of fashion as well. Frank interprets landscapes and cityscapes during various travels and incorporates it also into his cyanotype artwork.

With the advent of digital processing photography, the loss of authenticity and with it the ability to move and touch us is evident. In creating this cyanotypes he purposely returns to an old technique to shift peoples perspective back to the essence of photography.
Frank is living in Hamburg, Germany.
