DORTE AAGAARD

Since 2010, Dorte Aagaard has refined her expression and focused on an artistic career. She paints figuratively with acrylic and oil, and her paintings is based on everyday life. Her sources of inspiration can be found in old photo books, newspapers or online. The palette consists of soft and douched colors, all of which help to emphasize a certain mood. Often it is a black-and-white photo that sets Dorte Aagaard in motion, and as the painting progresses, a story emerges in the painting, which becomes very contemporary and relevant, although the motif often originates from a bygone era.
