In Anne-Mette Cortsen's paintings, she puts equality between people and growth. Plants are not just plants, but organisms, like us, constantly changing. Flowering, crash and perishability are shown in the pictures. Depictions of the new coming - the new that pops out and unfolds.
Anne-Mette Cortsen, 1976, is a trained furniture and room architect from the School of Architecture in Aarhus. She has attended Aarhus Art Academy and Aarhus Graphic School. Has exhibited in recognized galleries since 2003 and has exhibited works at curated exhibitions, among others. The Women's Museum in Aarhus. She has also participated in several recognized censored exhibitions: NK14, The Nordkraft Exhibition, Kunsthal Nord, AalborgPK17, The Artists' Easter Exhibition, Aarhus Kunsthal, AarhusKS17, KS18, The Artists Summer Exhibition, West Jutland Art Museum, Tistrup
